Pure Country Dalmatians

How Pure Country Dalmatians originated-

In  1981 Mandi became the first Dalmatian  to be part of the family. She was devoted to the family and went every where with us. You could not ask for a better girl and so easy to train.  Within a few years Nikki  came along and got me hooked on conformation, obedience and  tracking.  I realized in time that  neither Mandi or Nikki had  the proper pedigrees or conformation and knew I had  to find a quality show dog if I was going to continue. I looked at over 65 puppies until I decided on a boy whose call name became AJ.  He took me far getting his champion title as well as his CD and CGC.  A few  more Dalmatians were added; Sami, Storm, Kari Anne and Canasta.  I made the hard decision to place Sami with a good friend.  It is hard but you have to decided on what is best for the dog and your program.  

 

In addition to being family members, my Dalmatians were a part of the Centerport Township Fire Company community.  They rode on the children's float for future  firefighters.  The dogs could go any where  and were welcomed.   In 93 a house  fire took everything including my 6 adult dogs and a promising litter of 10 puppies.  I moved to Texas from PA and in time started again.  

 

There were many good dogs but in 2011 I decided to look for that very special show prospect.  I looked for a year and half untilI I found a black spotted girl in Minnesota who caught my eye.  I was fortunate to acquire her and she became the foundation for the  Pure Country Dalmatians.   Her call name is Abby and has proven not only to a great companion and wonderful mother of 3 litters but also a fantastic show and performance dog. Tali who came from her first litter has proven to follow in her mother's foot steps and Guinness who came from the second litter has done as well.

I continue showing and doing performance events with my dogs.  Of the 17 puppies Abby has presented me with 10 are in show and performance homes  She has 6 champions to date and earned her recognization  of ROM from the Dalmatian Club of America.  She has puppies doing scent work, fast cat, coursing  and dock diving with a number of titles on them.  All 17 puppies are great ambassadors for the breed.  I couldn't be more proud of Abby and what she has accomplished.  Tali is up next to be bred.  I take great pride in my dogs and breeding program and hope to continue on for many years.
