Pure Country Dalmatians

About Us

We have had Dalmatians since 1981.  We started with a puppy who we named Mandi, and quickly learned about the breed. We acquired a second female, Nikki, in 1985 who got us hooked on showing.  In 1986 we started looking for our first show prospect. After visiting with a number of litters and comparing the breed standard we chose a male. He became our first champion, CH. Sugarfrost Royl Flush N Spades, CGC, CD "AJ".

After AJ came Firecreek's Imminent Thunder "Sami", Firecreek's Rolling Thunder, "Stormi", Karefree's Lady of Firecreek,"Kari Anne", and then Firecreek's Karefree Canasta, "Canasta".

In 1993 the kennel name changed from Firecreek to Pure Country and a move from Pennsylvania to Texas was made.

Tongwoods Pure Cntry Royl Starr, "Annie" came to Texas and was an AJ grand daughter. Then CH. Topspot Glowing Ember, "Ebony" arrived. These two produced 10 beautiful puppies.  Pure Cntry Need I Say More CGC, "Cowboy"  and Pure Cntry Desert Starr CGC, RN, "Marina" stayed with us.  As it happens, some say the show ring is not for them and Cowboy was one of those. Cowboy became  the leader of the pack doing an excellent job training the dogs at home. Marina (liver) went on to work in obedience and also with a junior handler to show.

A number of years pasted and after teaching conformation and obedience decided my health was where it needed to be to show again.

A little black spotted girl from Minnesota was added at 10 weeks of age who  went on to become UKC, Int'l, AKC CH Paisley's Talk To Me Abby, DN, RATN, CA, SWN, TKN  "Abby".  She is an all around girl looking in advance nose scent work now and starting to learn agility. 

Abby was bred to CGHS CH Enchanted Hart Down N Dirty, ROMX, "Dirt"  which produced four beautiful girls, two black and two liver spotted. Two of the girls are in wonderful pet homes and two are in show homes.  Pure Cntry Enchantress In Dillvalley "Emersyn" has returned home to Texas. She has earned her TKN title since being home and is working on more.  UKC & Int'l CH & AKC GCH CH Pure Cntry Enchanted Dirty Dancing, CGC, TKN SWN "Tali" is working in advance nose scent.   She is also training for barn hunt. We are so proud of these girls and looking forward to more from them.

We added one more to the family who came to us at 10 weeks of age.  He is now Int'l, AKC CH Prestige N Pure Cntry Isle of Dreams, CGC, TKN, SCN, SIN "Ash" (L).  Ash is continuing in nose scent and has 2 legs each towards his SBN (scent buried novice) and SEN (scent exterior novice) titles.  We are looking forward to so much more from him.  Ash has recently (9/12/2020) moved to Dallas, TX to enjoy life as a companion dog.  He is now being called Dash.

From the Murphy and Abby litter Guinness decided he was staying.  He is registered as UKC & AKC CHPure Cntry's Irish Ale of Distinction, TKN, SCN, SIN, CGC and will be showing in conformation for his grand champion.  In the meantime he is taking dock diving lessons, learning obedience and doing nose scent work trials. We are excited about the potential of this boy.

Beamish had returned home as his family could no longer care for him. He has since found a wonderful home in Dallas and has a big brother Dakota who he enjoys.  His name has been changed to Brady.
